BIOGRAPHY OF EVE LINDEMUTH BODEUX

Eve Lindemuth Bodeux is an independent international communications consultant doing business as Bodeux International LLC. With 15 years of of wide-ranging experience in the localization industry, she has proven success in managing globalization projects for a variety of clients. She has successfully overseen all aspects of the localization process including sales support, project assessment and proposal, project staffing, internationalization team integration, linguistic and cultural localization and quality assurance.

Her focus has been large multi-lingual projects localizing  software (Mac and Windows), web, multi-media, entertainment, medical devices and international marketing plans for target markets in Asia, Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East and South and North America, covering a wide range of languages including French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Korean, Scandinavian languages, Russian, Polish, Hungarian and many others.  

She has managed projects for large and medium-size companies, including IBM, HP, RiverSoft, The Economist, Hallmark Entertainment Network, Vivendi Universal and other companies in the US and Europe. She integrates insider knowledge of the localization process with language-specific, technical and cultural considerations for successful project completion.

In addition to her management background, Eve also has extensive experience recruiting international vendors. She has recruited thousands of linguistic vendors worldwide along with desktop publishing, quality assurance and engineering staff, graphic artists, and foreign-language voice over artists.

She has presented at educational institutions and professional organizations throughout the United States and in Europe; speaking on localization-related issues and intercultural communications as linked to high tech. She has published over 20 articles in various industry outlets, including Language International, and was quoted in a Business Week article "Now That's Casting a Wide Net." She is a past editor of the bilingual French/English newsletter of the American Translators Association and is a past board member of the Colorado Internet Keiretsu. She has been actively involved in other professional organizations including the World Trade Center Denver, Women in International Trade, the Internet Chamber of Commerce and Colorado Women in Technology

Eve obtained a Master of Arts degree in international relations from the University of Virginia. She was also awarded a graduate degree (Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures Européennes) with honors in European civilization from the Centre Européen Universitaire of the Université de Nancy II in France. She is a cum laude graduate of Lebanon Valley College with a BA in political science and French, later teaching both subjects at the university level. She has traveled widely throughout the US, Europe and South America. Eve lived in Europe for two years, is fluent in French and has studied German, Spanish and Japanese.
