Phase 2 - Localization, Desktop Publishing and Testing

Once the translation of the software has been completed, translation of other components may proceed. Depending on how much overlap there is between the text of various components, remaining tasks proceed either simultaneously or consecutively.

In this example, documentation (such as user guides created in FrameMaker and printed to PDF format) is translated before the Help files. In fact, Help could be translated first, or translation of both documentation and Help files could occur simultaneously, depending on a project's particular source materials. The goal is to streamline the process when possible while maintaining maximum consistency and quality.
